Log in with your Google account

You'll need a Google account to use Google TV; you must log in with a Gmail account to be able to use the app and access all its features. All the content from your streaming platforms

Google TV features all the content from tons of streaming services. If you have a Netflix, Prime Video, HBO, Apple TV, Disney+, Crunchyroll, Discovery+, or RTVE account, to name a few, you just need the app installed on the same device to access any movie or series directly. You can select your streaming services from the Settings, so you'll only be shown the movies and series available on the platforms you have. In addition to this, of course, you can rent or buy any title that isn't available on any of your platforms, which is particularly useful for premieres.

Information about series and movies

In the profile of each series or movie, you can find all its information, including director, actors, length, release date, number of episodes (if applicable), and loads more. As usual, if you like a movie, you can take a look at other works by the same director. The same goes for any actor you like. Google TV has also partnered with the well-known American portal Rotten Tomatoes to include its reviews under the movie titles. This means that, in addition to the usual user reviews, you can also see the famous tomatometer score from professional critics.

Perfect Chromecast syncing

As it's an official Google app, it's no surprise that Google TV can be perfectly synced with any Chromecast device connected to the same Wi-Fi network. From the app, you can easily cast any movie or series to almost any Smart TV, including almost all modern Sony TV models. Depending on your Internet connection, however, it might be a good idea to take a look at the Settings, where you'll find a tab allowing you to choose the default quality of the content you want to watch.
